This policy explains how Alectro CC, trading as TACTIX (registration number 1998/055808/23), collects and uses personal information. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, telephone number, email address and order details. When you contact us, we collect whatever you choose to tell us. When you browse the store we collect standard technical information such as device type, browser and pages viewed.
We do not receive or store your card details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider on their own systems.
Why we process it
To accept and fulfil your order, arrange delivery, handle returns and warranty claims, answer your questions, meet our legal and tax obligations, and — only where you have opted in — send marketing.
Who we share it with
Only what is necessary, and only with: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), our payment provider (to process payment), and our couriers Aramex and The Courier Guy (to deliver your order and handle returns). Some of these providers store data on servers outside South Africa, which POPIA permits where the receiving party offers comparable protection.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for five years, as South African tax law requires. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries that don't lead to an order are deleted after twelve months.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at complaints.IR@justice.gov.za.
